Mary J. Hoppa, MD, MBA, CMSL, Senior Consultant

Dr. Hoppa serves as a senior physician consultant at The Greeley Company. She brings over 15 years of healthcare leadership and management experience to her work with physicians, hospitals, and healthcare organizations across the country.

Dr. Hoppa's roles in hospital administration and medical staff leadership in academic and community hospital settings make her uniquely qualified to assist physicians and medical centers develop effective solutions to their most significant challenges. She has an expertise in quality, peer review, regulatory, risk management, credentialing, infection control, medical records, operational re-engineering, and care coordination.

Dr. Hoppa is a family physician with 15 years of post-residency practice experience. Her experiences included chief medical officer at Methodist Hospital in Merrillville, Indiana. Dr. Hoppa's previous positions included physician advisor, medical director of an employed physician group, medical director of various insurance plans, and member of the Iowa Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Hoppa is co-author of The Medical Staff Executive Committee Handbook, Third Edition and Medical Staff Leaders' Practical Guide, Sixth Edition.

She is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Medical School and School of Business. She received her residency training at the Mercy/St. Luke's Family Practice Residency Program in Davenport, Iowa.
