The Medical Staff Leadership Certification Program was formed in 2007 as a service of the Greeley Medical Staff Institute to define and promote a minimum level of competency for hospital medical staff leaders to support the continuous improvement of healthcare for all in the face of the serious challenges that characterize healthcare today.

The required curriculum for certification is designed based upon the Greeley team's over 40 years of experience in working with medical staffs.  Through an in depth understanding of the responsibilities and challenges of medical staff leadership today, the program has formulated a practical curriculum that establishes a minimum level of training required to quickly achieve the necessary knowledge and skills for medical staff leaders.  The certifying examination is designed to test an applicant's ability to apply that knowledge to real life challenges medical staff leaders face every day.
