Jennifer Beloff, RN, MSN, APN, is a Partner in Performance Transformation focused on the expansion of clinical quality and high reliability care.

She brings more than 25 years of healthcare experience to the firm and is a nationally recognized leader in quality, including performance improvement, pay-for performance, measurement/rankings/ratings, and clinical documentation integrity (CDI).

Prior to joining Chartis, Jennifer worked at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH) where she served as the Vice President of Quality with executive oversight for quality, patient experience, clinical pathways (including Enhanced Recovery after Surgery), and CDI. In this role she was responsible for the strategic planning, operational management, and performance improvement efforts associated with a number of commercial, state, and federally funded performance programs as well ensuring the hospital was poised for success in external rankings and ratings (Leapfrog, US News and World Report). During her 14-year tenure, Jennifer led a number of multidisciplinary teams and collaborated with clinical staff to identify and eliminate barriers to appropriate care and strategized and implemented hospital and system-wide interventions to achieve greater compliance and improved performance on a multitude of clinical quality and patient safety metrics including infection prevention, harm reduction, mortality, healthcare equity, and patient experience.

Prior to her role at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Jennifer worked at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, N.J., as a nurse, nurse practitioner, and clinical quality specialist.  She is an avid speaker and author on healthcare quality and safety topics and serves as faculty with the Safety, Quality, and Informatics Leadership (SQIL) Program at Harvard Medical School where she’s taught since 2015.

Jennifer received her Master of Science in Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Pace University with honors, and her Bachelor of Arts in English and Business Finance from Franklin and Marshall College.

Why healthcare?

At an early age I knew that I wanted to pursue a career in healthcare because it coupled my passion for helping others with my academic interests and gave me a professional avenue to truly impact society. As a care provider, hospital executive, and healthcare consultant, I have been privileged to work alongside patients, their families, and members of the healthcare team as not only an active participant in the care delivery model, but as a change agent charged with shaping and transforming it for the better. What other industry would afford me such amazing and impactful opportunities?

What have you found to be the most rewarding part of your career?

I have been incredibly fortunate in my career to work alongside some of the most passionate, innovative, and brilliant people in the healthcare industry—all with the same drive to improve the health and healthcare delivery of the patients, their families, and countless others in the communities we are so privileged to serve. Each interaction not only validated my career choices but motivated me to continue this lifelong journey of discovery, reflection, and resolve.

Do you have a motto or personal mantra?

As a child I was always taught that it was more important to be courageous and kind than it was to be the smartest person in the room or the one with the most accolades. Throughout every facet of my life, whether personal or professional, I continue to lead with courage and kindness, as it only takes a second of my time, but leaves me feeling fulfilled in a way that other accomplishments never could.
