
Krystie Hengehold, MHA, RN, CPPS, CPHQ, HACP-CMS, is a Chartis Associate Partner in Clinical Transformation focused on clinical regulatory compliance and high reliability care. She has over 17 years of healthcare experience across various clinical areas, including acute care pediatric nursing, clinical information systems, patient safety, and regulatory compliance across large health systems. She brings expertise in patient safety, high reliability principles, regulatory standards, survey management, and adverse action mitigation.
Prior to joining Chartis, Krystie was a National Director in Regulatory Operations at Ascension where she operated as an internal consultant for regulatory compliance and accreditation. She partnered with acute care facilities ranging from critical access hospitals to large academic centers to provide education, evaluate survey readiness, respond to critical risk events, and develop/implement/monitor clinical performance improvement through regulatory plans of correction. In this role, she led work focused on proactive mitigation of regulatory citation, abatement of immediate jeopardy, and condition level and standard level deficiencies, in addition to systems improvement agreements.
Krystie is a member of the American Nurses Association, Missouri Nurses Association, American Society of Professionals in Patient Safety and National Association for Healthcare Quality.
Krystie received her Master of Health Administration from Webster University and her Bachelor of Nursing from Goldfarb School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO. She holds credentials as a Certified Professional in Patient Safety, Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, Hospital Accreditation Certified Professional, and Certified Pediatric Nurse.
