Lori Dinney

Lori Dinney, MS, CHSP, PE is a Senior Consultant in Performance Transformation at Chartis. She possesses over 40 years of fire, life safety, and risk management experience. She has most recently spent more than the last 20 years in healthcare engineering, particularly related to code compliance consulting, construction plan reviews, surveys for fire and life safety compliance, development of equivalencies, and in building/commissioning fire suppression systems. Her responsibilities include the production of life safety assessments, conducting audits of the Physical Environment (Environment of Care and Life Safety) programs, and preparing healthcare facilities for accreditation survey.  She also provides plan reviews, creates traditional equivalencies, fire safety evaluation system equivalencies (FSES), and management of the building maintenance program (BMP).

Prior to joining Chartis, Lori was a Senior Consultant at The Greeley Company, before it joined the Chartis family in 2019, and TSIG Consulting, before it became Greeley in 2017, and was the Manager of Fire Protection Services at Safety Management Services. She began her career working at various insurance and risk management firms.

In addition, Lori is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) and has served as an alternate for the NFPA Technical Committee on Healthcare Occupancies. She also serves as a member of the Fire Protection Engineering Exam Committee.

Lori received her Master of Science in fire protection from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with honors and her Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. She also is a licensed engineer in fire protection and is a certified healthcare safety professional.
