Mark Hirschhorn, CPCS

Mark Hirschhorn serves as a Senior Consultant with Greeley, a Chartis Company, where he partners with healthcare organizations to strengthen credentialing, privileging, compliance, and medical staff operations. With more than a decade of leadership experience in healthcare compliance, provider credentialing, managed care, and regulatory oversight, Mark advises organizations on developing high-performing credentialing programs that support quality, regulatory readiness, and operational excellence. Throughout his career, he has led initiatives to strengthen credentialing operations, advance accreditation readiness, and align organizational practices with NCQA and healthcare regulatory standards. His expertise includes credentialing verification organization (CVO) operations, provider enrollment, healthcare compliance, governance, and risk management.

Prior to joining Greeley, Mark served as Vice President and Compliance Officer for a national credentialing verification organization, where he led enterprise-wide compliance and credentialing strategy, oversaw regulatory adherence, and supported operational excellence across the organization. His previous leadership experience includes roles in managed care, strategic alliances, provider network operations, and healthcare contracting, providing him with a broad perspective on the operational and regulatory challenges facing healthcare organizations today.

Mark has made significant contributions to the credentialing profession through leadership roles at both the state and national levels, including serving as President of the New York State Association of Medical Staff Services (NYSAMSS) and in leadership positions with the National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS). He has helped advance the profession through education, advocacy, and the development of industry standards and best practices. As chair of a national task force focused on credentialing benchmarks, Mark collaborates with healthcare leaders across the country to shape emerging standards and support excellence in credentialing and medical staff services.

Mark is a Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) and is recognized for his commitment to advancing best practices in credentialing, compliance, and medical staff services through leadership, education, and industry collaboration.
