Stephanie Boyd, DNP, RN, CHPQ serves as an Associate Partner with the High Reliability Care team at Chartis. Stephanie brings 20 years of healthcare experience to the firm with leadership in clinical operations, strategy, safety, quality, and high reliability practices. Her expertise and passion include: quality-based pay for performance and pay for reporting programs, process improvement, patient safety structures, and cause analysis.
Prior to joining Chartis, Stephanie was the Senior Director of Safety, Quality, and Patient Experience for the Ohio Market at Cleveland Clinic, where she led enterprise-wide rater and ranker analyses and performance improvement strategies, patient safety initiatives, patient experience best practices, and regulatory compliance. Stephanie was instrumental in launching an enterprise-wide multidisciplinary process improvement initiative that systematically improved documentation integrity by 50% delivering top decile performance. Additionally, Stephanie chaired several governance councils working collaboratively with enterprise executive leaders to drive the lowest mortality rates on record.
Stephanie is a member of the National Association for Healthcare Quality. She received Cleveland Clinic Excellence Awards at Cleveland Clinic for her impactful leadership. Stephanie speaks nationally on leadership with organizations such as Sigma Theta Tau, National Association for Healthcare Quality, and the Ohio Hospital Association.
Stephanie earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Vanderbilt University, her Master of Nursing (MSN) Leadership from Vanderbilt University, and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Kent State University. Stephanie is accredited as a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) from the National Association for Healthcare Quality.
