Stephanie Russell, BS, CPMSM, CPCS

Stephanie Russell, BS, CPMSM, CPCS, is a Senior Consultant with Greeley‘s credentialing team bringing over 35 years of executive experience in medical services. Stephanie has led medical staff services across a range of hospital environments, from critical access facilities to university medical centers. Her expertise includes credentialing and privileging, medical staff bylaws governance, medical education, regulatory compliance (DNV, Joint Commission, NCQA), delegated credentialing, and leadership orientation.  

Before joining Greeley, Stephanie held leadership roles at UCHealth (Colorado), UWHealth (Illinois), and OSF Healthcare Systems. She has a proven track record in streamlining credentialing processes, fostering collaboration among health systems, and aligning medical staff policies to enhance consistency and collegiality. Stephanie has successfully led numerous regulatory surveys and developed NCQA-compliant credentialing delegation processes.

Stephanie served as a National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS) Instructor for ten years and was a Member at Large on the NAMSS Board of Directors.  She also served on the Illinois Association Medical Staff Services (IAMSS) Board of Directors for over a decade, including three years as President. With more than 20 years of experience in professional education, Stephanie has presented at state and national seminars on credentialing, professional development, and medical staff services. She is the co-author of several versions of the industry reference related to accreditation standards, “Verify and Comply, Credentialing, Medical Staff and Ambulatory Care Standards”.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Science degree with honors from Rockford University and is dual certified as a medical services professional (CPMSM) and credentialing specialist (CPCS) by NAMSS.
