Tawna Knight, CPCS, is a Consultant with Greeley. She brings more than 30 years of experience in medical staff services, credentialing, provider enrollment, and centralized verification operations across independent and multihospital health systems. Tawna is a recognized expert in delegated credentialing, regulatory compliance, and building high-performing credentialing programs that ensure accuracy, efficiency, and data integrity.
Before joining Greeley, Tawna served as CVO Director at HealthStream, where she led credentialing operations for a large Centralized Verification Office supporting healthcare organizations nationwide. In this role, she oversaw compliance with Joint Commission, NCQA, CMS, URAC, and other accreditation standards, while developing policies, quality metrics, and operational strategies to enhance performance and client outcomes.
Previously, Tawna spent over a decade with St. Luke’s Health System, where she held progressive leadership roles including CVO Director, CVO Manager, and Credentialing Supervisor. She led credentialing, payer enrollment, and provider data management across a multi-hospital system, supporting enterprise-wide standardization and regulatory readiness, and partnered closely with executive leadership and legal counsel on credentialing policies, delegated credentialing programs, and compliance initiatives.
Earlier in her career, Tawna held credentialing and medical staff leadership roles at St. Luke’s Boise Medical Center, HealthSouth Treasure Valley Hospital, and Grande Ronde Hospital, building expertise in medical staff operations, committee coordination, and practitioner credentialing.
Tawna is an active leader within the National Association of Medical Staff Services (NAMSS), where she has served as Chair of the Education Committee and contributed to national task forces, the Conference Committee, and speaker development initiatives. A frequent presenter, she contributes to industry education through conferences, webinars, and training programs focused on credentialing, provider enrollment, and regulatory compliance, and has been recognized for her leadership and service at both the state and national levels.
Tawna holds the Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist (CPCS) designation from NAMSS.
