Scott Hankinson is an Associate Partner with Greeley. He brings more than 20 years of experience across healthcare consulting, enterprise strategy, and senior medical staff services leadership in large, multi-hospital health systems. His expertise spans credentialing and privileging, peer review and OPPE/FPPE program design, medical staff governance and bylaws modernization, provider enrollment, NCQA delegated credentialing, and accreditation compliance across CMS Conditions of Participation, The Joint Commission, and DNV standards.
Scott has a proven track record of building operating models that reduce credentialing cycle times and strengthen compliance across complex, multi-entity systems. His work is distinguished by his ability to operate across all three sides of the table—consulting, payer strategy, and health system operations—giving him a direct line of sight into how credentialing decisions affect payer alignment, clinician experience, and regulatory readiness.
Prior to joining Greeley, Scott served as Senior Director of Medical Affairs at Mon Health System, where he led medical staff services strategy across a seven-hospital integrated delivery network. He standardized governance, bylaws, and credentialing processes system-wide, cutting average turnaround time by 30 days; consolidated credentialing, peer review, and performance improvement into a centralized model that eliminated 70% of duplicative work; and led the enterprise transition from paper-based credentialing to an electronic lifecycle management platform, reducing error rates by 40%. He also supported the system’s transition from TJC to DNV accreditation across multiple hospitals.
Earlier in his career, Scott served as Vice President of Medical Staff Services at Allegheny Health Network, where he led a 60-person team, supporting credentialing, privileging, provider enrollment, and regulatory compliance across nine hospitals and four ambulatory surgical centers that served more than 4,000 providers. He also served as a consultant at Deloitte and held a senior strategy role at Highmark Health.
Scott received his Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Pittsburgh.
